How You Can Make an Impact
The Yard Technician is responsible for the general organization of the yard to ensure the safe
and smooth operation of the yard operations and related offsite locations. This person
will be working closely with the Project Superintendents to manage all aspects of the
construction yard including occupational and environmental health and safety yard team
management material inventory maintenance and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed.

How You Can Make an Impact
The Yard Technician is responsible for the general organization of the yard to ensure the safe
and smooth operation of the yard operations and related offsite locations. This person
will be working closely with the Project Superintendents to manage all aspects of the
construction yard including occupational and environmental health and safety yard team
management material inventory maintenance and possible minor repair of vehicles as needed.
How You Will Contribute
- Oversee material and equipment inventory and restocking. Oversee yard layout and equipment line up
- Responsible for the organization of the yard including general yard maintenance and yard clean up
- Loading and unloading material on/off of delivery trucks or company vehicles
- Clean and organize shop work area: sweep and clean work surfaces clean vehicles store parts empty and discard garbage
- May operate powerdriven equipment that may be needed to maintain the yard; such as leaf blowers weed trimer forklift etc.
- May perform minor repairs on equipment as directed
- Comply with company and federal safety rules policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment PPE responding to safety concerns and taking appropriate action
- May be required to handle hazardous materials
- Assist with safety protocols for backing and lifting
- Perform other jobrelated duties as requested by your supervisor
What You Bring to the Table
- Knowledge of the safe and proper use of equipment and tools.
- Able to maintain a clean organized clutter free yard inventory skills a plus.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule with minimal direction.
- Ability to understand follow and transmit written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Valid Class C Drivers License with a clean driving record Class A Drivers License a plus.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work a plus.
Your Prior Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification and ability to operate a forklift and frontend loader a plus
- Mechanically inclined a plus.
