Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences that bring people together and ignite school spirit The Coordinator of Campus Traditions is the heart of campus programming connecting students faculty and community partners to shape a vibrant and inclusive student experience. From signature events like Homecoming and Springfest to smaller regular activities like Late Night at the MUC youll coordinate the events that cultivate a strong sense of belonging and pride among students. Your role will also allow you to guide and support the next generation of student leaders as part of the Campus Activities Board advisory team. What Youll Do
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in College Student Development Higher Education or related field is preferred
Knowledge of student development theory legal issues in higher education and risk management practices
Knowledge of antiracism diversity equity and inclusion (ADEI) theories and initiatives
Experience supervising student staff or graduate assistants

Illinois Residency Requirement:Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System outofstate candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Drivers License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.

For more information on Civil Service classifications please visit the State Universities Civil Service System website at: who qualify for preference must provide proof of eligibility within ten (10) working days of submitting an application. Work Authorization Information:This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship. International students at SIUE on F1 or J1 visas are not eligible for fulltime or parttime civil service positions with permanent status. F1 and J1 visa holders must be enrolled fulltime and can only apply for temporary parttime roles working 20 hours or less per week during spring and fall semesters such as student worker positions assistantships and civil service extra help roles.
