Our Planning Service is at the heart of Wiltshires growth and development. We ensure that every decision we make promotes highquality placeshaping guided by policy and best practices in urban design. As a statutory and regulatory service deliver housing and employment in line with our adopted Local Plan.
As a Planning Enforcement Officer youll oversee various enforcement cases ensuring compliance with planning policies.
Our Enforcement Team plays a vital role in the planning process ensuring highquality sustainable development in line with the Development Plan and other relevant considerations.
In this role you will undertake investigations into alleged breaches of planning laws covering areas such as listed buildings advertisements and protected trees. Your role involves making decisions on appropriate actions from negotiated compliance to prosecution preparation while also assessing threats to public safety and protecting the environment. You will be expected to competently draft enforcement notices reports and witness statements as and when required.
