KONE Australia and New Zealand (KANZ) are looking for a Procurement Category Manager Resourcing to join our dynamic Procurement team in Mascot NSW.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement ANZ you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement and category plans for the Resourcing portfolio. This includes managing supplier relationships and performance commercial negotiations and end to end project tendering.

This role manages the identification of efficiency opportunities and is accountable for category budget outcomes KPIs and portfolio reporting. The role also supports cross functional projects with for filling specific resourcing needs and identifies the optimal supplier setup for these projects.

Categories managed across the KONE KANZ region include but are not limited to: Subcontracting contingent and temporary labour.

What will you be doing

  • Work across the KANZ Business with the units business lines to understand needs and develop and execute effective sourcing strategies and category plans
  • Identify local procurement opportunities for subcontractors and contingent labour services including development of capability
  • Negotiate framework contracts commercials and price lists to be utilized by the business lines
  • Contract manages key subcontractors and Labour suppliers including quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and driving performance improvements
  • Support the implementation of global/area category plans
  • Works with cross functional business units to ensure best practice and governance is adhered to
  • Oversees regional compliance to subcontractor engagement and management
  • Define source plans for customer projects and works closely with the project team to understand real customer need
  • Conduct RFx exercises for project subcontracting needs (Medium & Large Projects) and negotiates contracts and pricing
  • Advises business on preferred subcontractors and labour suppliers

Are you the one

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement
  • Bachelors / masters degree in technical or commercial sciences or a related field preferred
  • Ability to build and develop strong collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering savings and meeting P&L targets
  • Experienced in successfully negotiating high value contracts
  • Experienced in procuring subcontractors contingent / temporary labour project services and vetting processes
  • Market Research RFx compliance and contract management experience
  • Advanced excel skills and ability to create business reports and actionable insights from raw data including working knowledge of SAP
  • Experienced negotiator with the ability to manage high value contracts
  • Working knowledge of best practice related to the construction sector
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply MCIPS qualified desired
