Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with at least two years of experience in personal injury litigation to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about advocating for plaintiffs skilled in all phases of litigation and licensed to practice in both California and New York.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings motions discovery requests and responses and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
- Take and defend depositions
- Represent clients in mediations arbitrations hearings and trials
- Participate in settlement negotiations and client consultations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate case management and billing records
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in both California and New York
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury litigation preferably on the plaintiff side
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Experience with all aspects of pretrial and trial preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to client service and justice for injured individuals
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $130000 to $140000 commensurate with experience
