Position Summary: |
The CSS is responsible for providing trauma informed evidencebased services to Ouachita Childrens Center residents. The CSS will provide clinical interventions to reinforce practice and model therapeutic techniques and treatments as directed by the Mental Health Professional (MHP). |
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains client case file documentation
- Serves as part of the clients treatment team
- Provides professionally appropriate transportation as necessary to accomplish treatment goals.
- Provides timely documentation to support services rendered and provides written reports as required by other agencies (i.e. DCFS legal systems etc.)
- Physically capable and willing to teach and assist youth in independent living activities
- Establishes positive relationship with client family and their support network
- Physically capable of restraining youth if necessary (must be trained in handle with care and follow policy guidelines concerning seclusion/restraint)
- Models stability for client and family with regular sessions
- Empowers client to improve day to day functionality reducing stressors and increasing ability to focus on treatment goals
- Encourages client compliance with the established treatment plan
- Provide behavioral interventions and crisis stabilization
- Meets weekly billing quotas as established by the Clinical Director and submits Medicaid billing daily
- Meets weekly billing quotas as established by the Clinical Director and submits Medicaid billing daily
- Provides a set amount of billable services as determined by Clinical Director
- Assists with medications as needed
- Participates in weekly staff meetings
- Attends all mandatory trainings.
- Responsible to conduct court assessments and provide recommendations at the courts request.
- Responsible for responding to and documentation of intake calls.
- Responsible for providing case management and targeted case management for shelter outreach and Division of Youth Services aftercare assigned cases; specifically service delivery documentation and reporting as outlined in the DYS performance indicators for each service.
- Responsible for completing assessments social history and for developing and implementing an individualized case plan that includes goals and activities to obtain each goal.
- Maintains client case file documentation and records all case management activity within five (5) business days.
- Submits billing every Monday by 11:59 p.m.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in human services or another related field preferred and a demonstrated ability to work with the target population; This can be offset by work experience at discretion of OCYFS.
- 2 years of experience working with atrisk youth or other populations with special needs preferred
- Pass a drug screen and maintain a current TB card.
- Must have a current Arkansas Drivers license and insurable under OCCs commercial vehicle insurance policy.
- Must receive child maltreatment adult maltreatment FBI and Arkansas state police criminal background clearance.
