As a Senior DevOps Engineer you play a crucial role in bridging development and operations teams ensuring the seamless delivery of topnotch software products within the cloud ecosystem. As a Senior DevOps Engineer at CoBank you will be responsible for managing CoBanks AWS footprints through Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code. You will play a critical role in automating and optimizing our infrastructure to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design implement and manage CoBanks AWS footprints using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and application deployment. Collaborate with developers and other crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth operation of applications. Implement best practices for security scalability and reliability in the infrastructure.
1. Manage and maintain CoBanks AWS footprints
2. Implement Infrastructure as Code and Pipeline as Code practices
3. Monitor and optimize system performance
4. Automate deployment processes
5. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems
6. Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure and deployments
7. Collaborate with teams to ensure best practices are being followed
8. Stay uptodate with the latest technologies and trends in DevOps
5 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud engineering/IT Operations/SysAdmin role required
3 years of experience supporting a cloud service; preferably AWS GCP Microsoft Azure required
1. Ability to apply independent judgement on most decisions and to work with minimal guidance.
2. Routinely uses significant judgement on moderatetocomplex business problems.
3. Demonstrates strategic thinking and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
4. Experience in team leadership.
5. Strong collaboration skills across departments.
6. Advanced handson experience with AWS services including AWS Organizations Control Tower Config IAM VPC Transit Gateway and Service Control Policies preferred.
7. Any AWS/Azure/GCP Certification (developer solution architect networking infrastructure) preferred.
8. Strong expertise in designing and managing multiaccount AWS environments following best practices for governance cost management and network segmentation.
9. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform CloudFormation or CDK with a focus on automating AWS account provisioning and network infrastructure preferred.
10. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps.
11. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python Bash or GO to support automation and configuration management tasks.
12. Familiarity with container orchestration and deployment using ESK preferred.
13. Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch AWS Config Rules and thirdparty monitoring platforms for compliance performance and incident response preferred.
14. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues in AWS including VPC peering Transit Gateway routing and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect VPN) preferred.
Occasional Travel occurs infrequently (typically once a month or less).
The typical base pay range for this role is between $119200 $146640. Compensation may vary based on individual jobrelated knowledge skills expertise and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
