Spectral Engines is an international technology company specializing in the development and production of electronics and sensor systems for spectral measurement technology. In close collaboration with our customers we develop and manufacture highend spectroscopy systems and components for a wide variety of applications. For instance our technology is currently used by police forces for the rapid identification of narcotics or for verifying the authenticity of pharmaceuticals.
We are part of the Nynomic Group combining the best of both worlds: the agility of a young company with the stability of an established technology company in the background. Our office is located in Steinbach just outside Frankfurt am Main and youll be part of our growing IT team which currently consists of 25 employees and freelancers. A hybrid work model is available and parttime options can be discussed individually.
Your responsibilities in this role:
You are a key member of our product development team ensuring that our developers can fully focus on coding.
You are responsible for the smooth operation of our customers cloud services and for ensuring that our infrastructure supports the continued growth of our business.
One of your main tasks is to maintain and further develop our DevOps infrastructure including pipelines and processes for Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD).
You will manage our cloud infrastructure (AWS) which includes setting up new cloud services for our customers configuring existing services monitoring operations and most importantly ensuring the scalability of our infrastructure.
You will also be responsible for the development tools and network systems used by our team including access management.
Job requirements
You are:
Independent goaloriented and passionate about learning and innovative technologies
Naturally collaborative a strong communicator creative and assertive
An analytical and critical thinker who enjoys tackling challenging problems
What you bring:
A degree in Computer Science education as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification ideally with at least 3 years of professional experience
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure Jenkins Terraform Kubernetes Linux
Familiarity with tools such as Bitbucket the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) or similar technologies
Experience with DevOps practices and the development of distributed systems at an enterprise level
Experience working with tools for automating CI/CD pipelines and Docker orchestration
A handson mindset and a willingness to learn something new every day
A customeroriented way of thinking
Fluent English skills both spoken and written are essential for this position. Any additional language is a plus
