Job Description

Heres What You Need:

3 years in Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care and/or Emergency Department related experience required

Current or previous experience from a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center strongly preferred

5 years of ER or Critical Care experience strongly preferred

RN Registered Nurse upon hire required and

BCLS Basic Life Support required and

ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required or

ENPC Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course upon hire and

TNCC Trauma Nursing Core Course upon hire or

ATCN Advanced Trauma Care Nurse upon hire

What You Will Do:

Collaborates with Leadership and appropriate team members to establish implement and monitor department policies/procedures facilitate unit goals evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes.

Provides safe direct patient care in coordination with other staff when unit activity dictates.

Manages and monitors patient and staff safety initiatives and outcomes.

Promotes staff development and awareness in cultural awareness & communication skills in caring for patients by fostering interdisciplinary involvement and decision making in process of patient care.

Collaborate with manager and educator or CNS to provide staff orientation education and ongoing competency assessment.

Effectively evaluate the care while rounding to ensure the patients needs are being addressed to ensure a highquality experience

Trauma Clinician/Coordinator (RN) Trauma

Work location: Texas Health Dallas 8200 Walnut Hill Lane Dallas TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time/Weekends; Friday Saturday Sunday; 12hour shifts (1P1A or 3P3A) for 36 hrs/week
