Job Description

Plans coordinates and participates in oncology clinical trial activities associated with the initiation management and completion of clinical trials sponsored by internal industry foundation and federal funding sources. Maintains compliance with all regulatory bodies associated with human subject research.

Education Required:

  • Associate Degree or certification equivalent BA BS BSN or RN degree

Experience Required:

  • 12 years clinical research coordinator experience
  • Preferred: 3 years of clinical research coordinator experience

Licsened Required:

  • None
  • Preferred:Clinical research coordinator certification

Responsiblities

  • Training in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and management of clinical trials is required as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel Power Point and Outlook. Experience in clinical research budgets and billing are preferred along with experience with electronic data capture reporting.
  • Obtains/maintains current IATA (International Air Transport Association) training for shipping medical specimens including Category A Infectious Substances Category B Biological Substances and Class 9 Dry Ice.
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with departments physicians and study personnel to obtain high quality documentation and/or data in a timely fashion using various methods and approaches.
  • Assures compliance with general and study specific regulatory processes with SOPs FDA NIH and global regulations. Maintains compliance with all regulatory bodies associated with human subject research. Performs high quality clinical review of regulatory forms and associated documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned
