Assistant General Counsel

- Core work hours: Monday Friday; 8:00a5:00p; Hybrid typically 3 days remote with some flexibility depending on work load
Job Description:
Represents and advises in all legal matters for THR hospitals THPG or other THR System Services departments. Handles a wide range of legal responsibilities as assigned. Assists with interpretation and application of State and Federal rules.
Participate as a member and/or attend various committees and/or meetings.
Education
Bachelors Degree Required
And
J.D. Required
Experience
7 Years Legal experience Required
and
5 Years Legal experience in specialty area of position Required
5 Years Legal experience in Healthcare Law Strongly Preferred
The primary focus of work experience in the hospital/health care industry should includePhysician Group operations.Representation ofhospitalsis a plus. Medical malpractice experience isnotrelevant to this position.
Licenses and Certifications
JD Juris Doctor by State Bar of Texas with in 6 Months of hire Required
Skills
Strong academic credentials excellent writing and speaking skills ability to relate to all levels of personnel within THR as well as medical staff members.
