    Job Description

    Job Title: Information Technology Systems Administrator
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree preferred in information technology education data systems or a related field.
    • Experience in project management and in bridging communication between technical experts and nontechnical users is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success working with a variety of stakeholders including educators administrators and district personnel.
    • Commitment to high ethical standards and strict confidentiality when managing sensitive student staff or system data.
    • Strong customer service orientation with a solutionsfocused mindset.
    • Collaborative and teamoriented with the ability to also work independently and manage competing priorities.
    • Advanced skills in problemsolving data analysis and systems thinking.
    • Proficiency in verbal and written communication documentation and interpersonal collaboration.
    • Familiarity with K12 student information systems (e.g. Infinite Campus) and/or financial or HR systems (e.g. PowerSchool eFinance) is preferred.
    • Proven ability to learn and support multiple software platforms; proficiency in productivity suites such as Google Workspace required.

    Job Goal:
    To support the Southeast Polk mission vision and core values by providing exceptional service support and expertise related to the districts software applications data systems and student information systems. This role combines frontline user support with backend systems configuration process development and resource design to ensure smooth integrated and effective use of digital platforms districtwide.
    Performance Responsibilities:
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how district software systemsparticularly Infinite Campus and other key student and data platformsoperate individually and in integration.
    • Serve as the primary support contact for Infinite Campus and related information systems including configuration troubleshooting updates and training.
    • Collaborate with instructional administrative and operational departments to ensure systems are aligned accessible and effectively support the needs of users.
    • Design and document efficient workflows across platforms to streamline data entry access and reporting processes.
    • Provide direct training and technical assistance to teachers staff and administrators on district systems both inperson and virtually.
    • Create user guides help documents and video tutorials tailored to a variety of user needs and experience levels.
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of digital curriculum tools and learning platforms ensuring compatibility and data integration.
    • Monitor system performance escalate issues when necessary and contribute to planning for future upgrades or improvements.
    • Stay current with system updates and best practices; identify opportunities for improved functionality or adoption.
    • Support data validation and reporting efforts to ensure data accuracy for local state and federal reporting.
    • Maintain clear communication with the Director of Technology on relevant developments issues or needs.
    Physical Demands:
    • Travel required between district buildings and sites using a districtprovided vehicle.
    • Ability to lift carry or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity vision and coordination needed for frequent computer and equipment use.
    • Must be able to work in various environmental conditions including extreme temperatures.
    • Frequent interruptions are a normal part of the role; flexibility and adaptability are essential.
