Big Rapids Family Birthing Center offers unique familycentered maternity care. We have 11 patient rooms that are private and cozy offering a homelike setting. We are committed to providing professional excellence and the best possible experience. We are equipped to stabilize and care for babies who need specialized care. Our advanced technology and specially trained staff are qualified to care for many infant with special needs.

Scope of work
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidencebased practice and research quality of practice professional practice evaluation resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Associates in Nursing Required
Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required within 6 months
CRTFetal Heart Monitoring Certification 2yrs required
