Program Manager

Veteran Services Honor Home

Schedule: Determined on a casebycase basis; Oncall responsibilities

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provides support and oversight of basic program operations; supervises and develops Social Service Assistant (SSA) staff; assists in providing direct services to residents.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversee daily operations of shelters including general upkeep of the facility and property grounds and coordinate various activities for residents.

2. Plan and organize SSA and volunteer training and supervision as well as monthly meetings with SSAs and volunteers to ensure programming complies and is efficiently operating under the TraumaInformed Care model.

3. Lead by example as a TraumaInformed Care leader to assist in the provision of direct service to residents.

4. Complete the monthly shelter schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage by SSAs and provide oncall assistance to SSAs as needed.

5. Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for SSAs and volunteers.

6. Coordinate with the supervisor of shelter Case Managers to ensure clients needs are being met.

7. Complete performance evaluations for SSA.

8. Works cooperatively with the Director of Veterans Services to maintain adherence with all program and agency reporting requirements as well as identify and reports unmet needs.

9. Provide leadership to ensure team cohesiveness and to promote program goal achievement.

10. Attend agency and team meetings.

11. Complies with agency policies and procedures COA regulations federal and state requirements and educational/certification requirements.

12. Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to model traumainformed communication fair and equitable treatment management of conflicts and work in a team environment.

2. Knowledge of traumainformed care clientcentered model and conflict resolution.

3. Ability to network effectively with other professionals.

4. Possess high organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

5. Work as an effective team leader.

6. Management experience preferred.

7. Valid Ohio Drivers License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

8. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).


MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in human services or related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required. Requirements may be waived based on evaluation of experience.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience working with individuals and families in a residential setting and/or serving unhoused individuals veterans low income and mental health populations. Supervisory experience in nonprofit preferred.
