What you can expect.
This position will work as a Parttime Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner onsite at GBMC in Towson Maryland.
Sheppard Prattsserves patients of all ages and is specially designed for people who need immediate psychiatric evaluation and triage. These emergency services are provided with the Towson axis. Those receiving services from the emergency care are connected to levels of care most appropriate to serve the needs of our patients. Our clinicians provide rapid quality assessments to facilitate care.
Sheppard Pratt is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide outpatient and urgent assessment services in Towson Maryland in the GBMC ED. This nurse practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations and care to a vast population of mental health patients. This position is part of a larger and growing multidisciplined psychiatry team that provides services in hospital settings.

The pay range for this position is $54800 minimum to $69600 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to board certifications and years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Current unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
Certification as a PsychiatricMental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNPBC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Experience in psychiatric emergency settings is required as a licensed psychiatric NP
Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders treatments and therapeutic interventions.
Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration in an acute care environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact effectively with patients families and healthcare teams.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload in a fastpaced environment.
Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) preferably Epic and other clinical software systems.
Compassionate patientcentered approach to care with a strong focus on quality outcomes.
