Job Description

Oversees the radiology and ultrasound services and provides direction and remediation that ensures high quality and diagnostically. Present at State Inspections of individual clinic sites receives feedback from state inspections and develops action plans around any opportunities found in said inspection. Makes clinical assignments based upon the priority of work and the skill of the employee. Effectively lead and develop a team of employees including hiring training and development salary recommendations etc. Responsible for employee performance management by completing performance appraisals and setting individual goals as outlined in policies and procedures.

Prepares recommends and monitors clinic budget goals and objectives taking into consideration input from clinic staff. Monitors payroll system to control time management. Participates in the planning and development of policies and procedures as well as radiology and ultrasound clinicspecific procedures and programs.

Assists with implementation and development of longrange plans as well as the development and implementation of performance goals and objectives.

Participates in QI development data collection and reporting processes. Maintains records and statistical reports for administrative and regulatory purposes.

Monitors monthly dosimeter dosages of diagnostic personnel and makes appropriate adjustments in room schedules to keep employees from over exposure. Ensures and maintains environment for radiology and ultrasound staff to comply with regulatory licensure compliance and accreditation requirements.

Monitors performance of imaging equipment refers equipment problems to appropriate service personnel and ensures that corrective measures are taken.

Investigates over exposures. Reports any over exposure to the RSO and the CHI Health Clinic Quality team to identify steps to address the overexposure. Assists the RSO and ensures that statutory radiation safety requirements are met and kept abreast of any implements and changes set forth by the Regulatory Commission and State Department of Health.

In conjunction with the organization leaders establishes written policies and procedures for all aspects of radiation safety. Serves as a member of the Radiation Safety Committee and oversees the annual radiation safety training of clinic employees. In conjunction with the RSO and Radiation Safety Committee assists in establishing and enforcing ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) program.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Education
Graduate of AMA approved radiology program required
Associates Degree is preferred

Experience
3 years clinical experience as a Radiology Technician required
3 years Supervisory experience required

Licenses and Certifications
ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certified in radiography required upon hire

Skills
Ability to supervise staff monitor and prioritize work flow and provide effective training and guidance.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.
Demonstrates business and analytic/financial skills.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Demonstrates ability to shape communications to the needs of the audience.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the concepts practices policies procedures standards systems and tools applicable to health care administration.
