LOCATION: Plantation FL. This position requires onsite work 5 days a week in our office.
OVERVIEW
As a Junior Finance Analyst at NationsBenefits you will play a pivotal role in our Finance team contributing to the financial health of our organization. This is a unique opportunity for a recent college graduate with a background in Accounting and Finance to embark on a rewarding career journey. In this role you will be immersed in a fastpaced environment collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams and honing your skills in spreadsheet management data retrieval billing client payment followup cash projections and reporting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIES
- Billing and Invoicing: Generate accurate and timely invoices for clients ensuring compliance with company policies and client contracts.
- Payment FollowUp: Monitor accounts receivable balances and proactively follow up with clients to expedite payments and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.
- Data Retrieval and Analysis: Utilize advanced spreadsheet skills to retrieve analyze and interpret financial data identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Cash Projections: Assist in cash flow forecasting helping the organization plan for upcoming financial obligations and opportunities.
- Weekly Reporting: Prepare and deliver weekly status reports on accounts receivable performance to leadership highlighting key metrics and areas for attention.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile client accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial records.
- Process Enhancement: Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements in accounts receivable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: Accounting or Finance internship preferred.
- Strong Spreadsheet Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software for data management and analysis.
- DetailOriented: Exceptional attention to detail accuracy and commitment to maintaining clean financial records.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and internal stakeholders professionally.
- Analytical Aptitude: Ability to analyze financial data identify trends and propose solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility: Willingness to learn adapt to new challenges and grow in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
