The position will support the Pfizer Sanford NC Quality Operations department by performing Quality Control activities associated with sample management stability planning and contract lab management.
What You Will Achieve
Key responsibilities are performing GMP tasks associated with maintaining compliant Quality Control and Stability laboratories; providing sample management support; managing testing timelines; developing and deploying contemporized digital tools for reporting on Quality activities; data entry and review.
How You Will Achieve It
At a minimum the individual should be considered able to demonstrate the following:
acts safely and follows all EH&S safety requirements for site and QC laboratories
sufficient depth of knowledge within their scientific discipline and previous area of experience
good written and verbal communication techniques
ability to follow written procedures and learn from hands on training
capability of solving complex mathematical and situation dependent problems
understanding of own area of function and knowledge of other cross functional areas
supports activities to implement Stability protocols and studies for products
forecasting for QC Labs expected Stability pulls and performs Stability pulls
completes actions for end of studies and sample disposal
supports the sample management process for QC (pick up from manufacturing maintaining chain of custody in LIMS aliquoting/delivering samples to appropriate lab etc.)
supports QC batch tracking and investigation flow to ensure product lead times are met
develops and supports the implementation of effective digital tools to meet KPIs through realtime metric reporting
supports contract lab management activities (data entry review LTA meetings etc).
Individual should have knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMS) Microsoft Office applications specifically Word and Excel analytical techniques Lean Six Sigma concepts and Lean Labs.
Responsible for knowing understanding and acting in accordance with Pfizers values and our OWNIT culture
Qualifications
MustHave
A BS/BA Degree in Science/related field with experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry is preferred; however other appropriate combinations of education and/or experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry are suitable with 3 years of manufacturing quality or engineering experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Understanding of laboratory practices and processes.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform mathematical calculations
Ability to perform complex data analysis
