Job Description
Excel Orthopaedics is looking for a Per Diem Radiology (Xray) Technologist. Come join a dynamic orthopedic practice and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
- Per Diem Schedule
- Outpatient Setting no nights weekends or holidays
- Greets patients prepares patients for xray by positioning with the least discomfort provides patient education regarding xray
- Obtains clear images as directed by the provider using appropriate safety precautions and processes images in PACs system
- Assists patient with dressing as needed escorts patient to and from exam room
- Maintains and adheres to written safety polices for use of radiologic equipment in compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards
- Follows HIPAA and documentation compliance standards
- Certified Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required (RT / ARRT)
- Minimum of two years related experience preferred but new graduates welcome to apply
- Demonstrated ability to handle high volume of patients and multitask in fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including EMR and MS Office necessary
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or Konica PACS a plus
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact diplomacy and discipline.
