Who are we looking for
GHD has an excellent opportunity for IWM Engineering Internin the Eureka CA area.As a IWM Engineering Intern you will have the opportunity to focus on various areas of expertise including water resources hydrology and hydraulics storm water and flood management engineering research design plans specification writing and construction cost estimating.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Assist with engineering planning and design tasks
- Assist with development of technical reports
- Analyze different types of climate surface water storm water and water quality data
- Assist in development of plans specifications and cost estimates (PS&E)
- Ability to conduct field work and collect data related to sampling and construction observations
- Assist in planning reports water compliance studies and general water infrastructure engineering projects
- Collect compile and analyze data including water supply water quality and asset conditions
What you will bring to the team:
- Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Engineering Program in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Understanding of civil engineering fundamentals
- Interest in storm water and water resources management
- Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
- Basic knowledge of GIS applications and AutoCAD experience a plus
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and deadlines

Hourly rate will be $23.00$26.00 per hour based on experience and location
