Hillel at Binghamton is seeking a passionate Campus Rabbi to serve as a dynamic spiritual leader for one of the most vibrant Jewish student populations in North America. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a campus culture that embraces serious Jewish living rooted in learning heartfelt tefillah and joyous observance of mitzvot.
Binghamton is home to many students who are already actively engaged in Jewish practice and many more who are seeking meaningful connection to tradition and community. As Campus Rabbi you will nurture and deepen that commitment through inspiring teaching pastoral guidance and leadership of spirited communal experiences. You will be a visible and trusted presence whether facilitating Jewish learning that challenges and elevates leading meaningful Shabbat tefillah or learning oneonone with students seeking to grow in observance.
Working alongside a talented staff team you will help infuse Hillels programming with religious depth. This role is ideal for a rabbi with deep spiritual conviction a warm and approachable demeanor and a calling to inspire young Jews to live a passionate and joyful Jewish life. You will work collaboratively with student leaders and staff to create accessible and relevant Jewish programming support students in celebrating Shabbat and holidays and provide pastoral care and guidance. Whether facilitating Jewish learning leading thoughtprovoking discussions or simply meeting students oneonone for coffee you will play a vital role in shaping a welcoming and pluralistic Jewish environment at Binghamton.

Hillel at Binghamton is located in the Student Union at Binghamton University in the Southern Tier of New York. With more than 4000 Jewish students on a campus of 18000 students Hillel at Binghamton is home to passionate driven and hardworking students who will impress you the moment you set foot on campus. Year after year the students with the help of dedicated staff work towards the Hillel mission and vision to provide a pluralistic Jewish hub to Jewish students who call Binghamton home. Hillel at Binghamton encompasses 15 studentrun subgroups. From Challah for Hunger to Keshet the LGBTQ group to Bearcats for Israel and Shoah Awareness Hillels diverse offerings ensure students can live a holistic Jewish life in college. Hillel at Binghamton has created longlasting partnerships with the Judaic Studies Department and Center for Israel Studies the Jewish Federation of Greater Binghamton the Jewish Community Center Chabad and local synagogues of all denominations.
