Job Description
The City of OFallon MO is looking to hire a knowledgeable and dependable Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker. Are you looking for a position where youll be working each day in the beautiful city grounds of OFallons parks Our Seasonal Parks Maintenance Workers earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of $17.55 hourly and can expect to work March through October. We are flexible and hire seasonal workers who can work May through August to accommodate back to school schedules.
As part of our Parks Department you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of City parks. We are looking for individuals who can work a flexible schedule with varying hours that include weekends evenings and holidays. During the week typically hours are MF from 7am3:45pm. You can expect to work various hours on weekends to maintain the park system as well as special events and tournaments.
As a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining athletic field turf including mowing and string trimming
- Mowing and managing nonturf areas
- Cleaning pavilions parking lots restrooms and playgrounds
- Assisting with the preparation for festivals and special events
- Assisting with the weekend park maintenance routines
- Maintaining park amenities including painting and repairing tasks
- Performing related duties
Were looking for someone who is comfortable operating motorized equipment such as zero turn mowers string trimmers and blowers. This person must also be willing to get dirty and/or wet while theyre on the job.

Requirements include:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds 100 feet
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time
- The ability to withstand weather conditions such as heat cold rain snow etc.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license
