Job Description

As a Software Engineer III SmallTalk Developer at JPMorgan Chase within theCommercial & Investment Bank Markets Technology Team youll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for design development testing and implementation of Rates Risk and PnL related tasks.
- Directly contribute to the development of the technology roadmap.
- Develop secure and highquality production code in SmallTalk and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills :
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Hands on software engineering experience through all phases of software development lifecycle.
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in an enterprise environment with SmallTalk programming language
- Excellent coding automated unit testing refactoring OO design.
- Technical expertise in SmallTalk.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
- Should be able to work in a very Agile environment.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills :
- High level of energy and can work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strategic thinker; makes appropriate business decisions and gains cooperation of others.
- Having Python knowledge is preferable.
