The Opportunity:
Talbot RiceGalleryare seeking aGalleryAssistantto join our team. The post holder will bring their enthusiasm for contemporary art to public audiences and provide secretarial and administrative support for theGalleryteam to deliver TRGs exhibition programme. Candidates must show aptitude fora publicly facing role with demonstrable ability to workwith visitors in a professional helpful and welcoming manner and stay calm under pressure;the skillsto relay in a clear manner the information and ideas behind the exhibitions as provided by curators; understanding of hospitality and the initiative to support the team in hosting events meetings and artists visits; accuracy and excellent attention to detail with ability to prioritise tasks as required.
When the Gallery is open to the public the working days are usually TuesdaySaturday 9.15 am5.15 pm. There are some flexibility required around/when events are held at the Gallery. In August the working schedule can be adjusted to include Sunday and Monday working (maintaining a 5day week).
