Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is hiring for a Splunk Monitoring and Integration Engineer responsible for the configuration development and ongoing maintenance of a custom Splunkbased monitoring solution for Superdome Flex systems. This role is primarily remote with occasional travel to our Herndon VA site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the system health and status monitoring of HPE Superdome Flex platforms using custom Splunk Forwarders.
Ensure any recommended monitoring software integrates seamlessly with Splunks forwarder format and contributes to centralized dashboard visualization.
Design and develop custom Splunk dashboards that closely mimic HPE OneView offering intuitive views of system status across environments.
Conduct initial system configuration and Splunk integration including writing or adapting scripts for Red Hat Linux environments.
Provide ongoing Splunk implementation tuning and maintenance ensuring system health monitoring remains effective and efficient.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and deliver dashboards tailored to specific site needs.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship required.
Proven experience in Splunk administration dashboard development and log forwarding setup.
Experience monitoring HPE Superdome Flex systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and ability to write and adapt shell scripts.
Familiarity with HPE OneView or similar infrastructure monitoring platforms a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel occasionally to the Herndon VA site
