Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join our construction team. As a key leader within the organization you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects and ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects in multiple sectors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction and commercial management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all commercial aspects of construction projects including budget management cost control and financial reporting
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers subcontractors and clients
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement commercial strategies
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the commercial team
- Analyse project risks and recommend appropriate risk management strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Daytoday
- Collaborating with project teams to assess commercial requirements
- Reviewing and approving project budgets and financial reports
- Negotiating contract terms and conditions
- Conducting regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates
- Analysing market trends and identifying new business opportunities
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies to ensure project success
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Business or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Proven experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of fitout projects and commercial best practices
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels
- Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
