A Break Press/Guillotine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used to cut bend and shape metal sheets and plates. This role requires technical skill precision and an understanding of safety protocols to ensure the production of highquality metal components.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up adjust and operate break press and guillotine machines to cut and shape metal materials according to specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct measurements and dimensions for cutting and shaping metal.
- Material Handling: Load and unload metal sheets and plates onto the machines ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
