Job Description
The Role:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team.
In this role you will work building web apps that help with processing and vetting data to extract meaningful insights and signals from our extensive survey data. You will collaborate closely with Engineers Data Scientists and Data Analysts.
Your experience with Ruby and general backend knowledge will be key to deliver useful features and great UX to help streamline data processing tasks.
Responsibilities:
Frontend Development. Work with stakeholders to implement usable and effective UIs.
Backend Development. Develop and maintain backend services using modern frameworks.
Collaboration and Best Practices. Work closely with crossfunctional teams to gather
requirements provide estimates and deliver features.
Clean code. Write clean modular and testable code following industry best practices.
Effective Testing. Write unit and integration tests to help identify prevent and resolve issues
both in frontend and backend solutions.
Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities to improve the performance
maintainability and scalability of existing systems.
Requirements:
Frontend Skills:
Experience with React.
Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices leveraging component based architecture and state management.
Familiarity with CSSinJS solutions (e.g. Styled Components Emotion Material UI) and CSS fundamentals.
Backend Skills:
Familiarity with database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL Redis).
Experience with event driven systems and event queues (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka).
An understanding of microservice architectures.
NicetoHave Skills
Experience working with Ruby backends.
Experience or familiarity with Ruby on Rails.
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. React Testing Library Jest RSpec) for unit
integration and endtoend testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g. GitHub Actions Docker
Kubernetes).
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
Experience with Heroku.
