Job Description
Job Title: R&D Product Engineer (Ribbon Fiber Cable)
Location: Claremont NC (Onsite)
Position Type: FullTime
Salary Range: $110000 $140000
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a full time onsite talented R&D Product Engineer to join our growing Fiber Cable Engineering team based in Claremont NC. This role is part of our Research & Development division where innovation drives the design and advancement of our fiber optic cable product familiesincluding Premises Indoor/Outdoor and Outdoor Fiber Cables.
As a Product Engineer you will play a critical role in the design and development of fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cables contributing to the next generation of highperformance solutions that power connectivity across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fiber ribbons and ribbon fiber cables with a focus on manufacturability performance and innovation.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing quality and product management.
- Support new product introductions and continuous improvements for existing fiber cable products.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives and maintain documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure designs meet applicable industry standards and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical Materials Electrical or related field).
- 5 years of engineering design experience.
- Strong background in the fiber optic cable manufacturing industry particularly with fiber ribbons and ribbon cable design.
- Proven ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative R&D environment.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite at our Claremont NC facility five days a week.
Interview Process:
- Initial Video Interview (30 minutes) with a recruiter.
- Technical Interview (45 minutes) with the hiring manager.
- Final Round Onsite interview at the Claremont NC facility.
