INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY COACH
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must comply with all employment criteria legally established by the Lee County Board of Education.
- Must have a 4year degree in education from an accredited college or university. Masters degree is required.
- Must hold an appropriate Alabama Class A Professional Educator Certificate.
- A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in grades 612.
- Extensive experience with educational technology with emphasis on curriculum integration.
- Experience in developing and delivering professional development activities.
- Valid Alabama driver license reliable transportation and evidence of insurance.
- Must meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No..
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board my find appropriate and acceptable.
Background Check Required: (HB 402 ACT 99361 Alabama Legislature) Upon offer of employment employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau Investigation.

REPORTS TO:Technology Director and Assistant Superintendents of Curriculum and Instruction
JOB GOALS:
- To provide coaching training and curriculum integration strategies and content with the goal of having teachers and other instructional staff integrate technology competently and consistently within the classroom.
- To collaborate with instructional staff to plan effective instruction coteach and model strategies with regard to effectively integrating technology into teaching and learning.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of organizational and professional development theories and best practices
- Knowledge of effective use of technology in the delivery of professional development
- Evidence of instructional leadership (e.g. team leader resource teacher department chair systemwide committees etc.)
- Current in using new instructional technologies knowledge of their use in the classroom and willingness to learn additional instructional technologies.
- Demonstrates teaching and leadership skills as well as written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others demonstrates selfdiscipline and initiative
- Ability to collect analyze evaluate and make recommendations on data

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Inspire and participate in the development and implementation of a shared vision for the comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformational change throughout the instructional environment
- Coach classroom teachers through observation coaching mentoring and assisting teachers in the development of lesson plans that encompass the use of technology in meeting district state and national standards for subjectarea and technology learning objectives
- Assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning differentiating instruction and providing rigorous relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.
- Coach teachers in and model effective use of technology tools and resources to continuously assess student learning and technology literacy by applying a rich variety of formative and summative assessments aligned with content and student technology standards.
- Review data and plan action strategies that address both current and future instructional needs.
- Create and support effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students.
- Guide encourage and support teachers in developing their own resources.
- Consult with school sites regarding technology needs relative to computer resources (hardware software learning resources training needs etc)
- Conduct needs assessments develop technologyrelated professional learning programs and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and student learning.
- Assist in the development of an annual professional development plan and create professional development opportunities related to Instructional Technology
- Model and promote digital citizenship.
- Coach teachers to utilize digital communication and collaboration tools to communicate locally and globally with students parents peers and the larger community.
- Demonstrate professional knowledge skills and dispositions in content pedagogical and technological areas as well as adult learning and leadership while continuously deepening knowledge and expertise.
- Work as an active member of the districts professional development team to assist with the creation and implementation of the districts professional development plan for technology integration.
- Adhere to the Alabama Educator Code of Ethics.
- Maintains professional work habits.
- Plans facilitates and/or participates in training as directed.
- Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned by the Principal Tech Director or Assistant Superintendent.

EMPLOYMENT: This is a tenmonth (200 days) contract. Salary range is based on board approved salary schedule.
