Lead the clinical nutrition operations for both inpatient and outpatient care.
Supervise a team of 4 Registered Dietitians and 5 Diet Clerks ensuring quality consistency and collaboration across services.
Provide direct patient care approximately 20% of the time.
Collaborate with management of the hospital s meal service program and menu systems.
Foster a team environment that prioritizes learning mentorship and professional development.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and support organizational goals related to accreditation compliance and patient care standards.
Master s degree with ACENDaccredited coursework and supervised practice
OR for those eligible for the RD exam before 1/1/2024: Bachelor s degree with ACENDaccredited coursework and supervised practice.
At least 13 months of management or supervisory experience including oversight of people or resources.
3 years of professional practice as a dietitian including independent work and supervision of developing practitioners.
Proven acute care clinical nutrition experience.
Previous supervisory or management experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and accreditation preparation.
Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lead performance improvement efforts.
Education
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
