Job Description
Role: Senior Engineer Electrical Instrumentation and Control
Location: Singapore
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of technical specifications and evaluate contractor proposals for engineering projects.
- Troubleshoot existing electrical and control systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee integration testing and commissioning of control and safety systems during project execution.
- Select and manage installation of field instrumentation.
- Participate in risk assessments such as Hazard & Operability Studies or Process Hazard Analysis to ensure system safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of handson experience in large industrial projects (e.g. terminals refineries or process plants).
- Strong knowledge of electrical and safety regulations (IEC IEEE NFPA ATEX) and experience with SIL LOPA and related safety systems.
- Proficient in interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) P&IDs and creating Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Experience in electrical system design for low and medium voltage including cable sizing motor control centers and shortcircuit/load calculations.
- Experience with automation strategy execution or certifications in LV/MV systems are a plus.
- Selfmotivated collaborative and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
