Job Description
Job Title: Microsoft Purview Developer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview Developer to design develop and deploy robust data governance solutions. You will play a key role in integrating Purview across data platforms ensuring seamless data lineage cataloguing compliance and governance workflows across the enterprise. This role requires strong collaboration with data architects analysts and IT teams to uphold data standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement endtoend solutions using Microsoft Purview for enterprise data governance cataloguing and compliance.
- Integrate Purview with Azure Data Factory Azure Synapse Analytics Azure SQL Database Blob Storage and other platforms to enable comprehensive metadata and lineage tracking.
- Configure and customize data classification labelling and sensitivity policies to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to map data sources enforce governance best practices and ensure highquality metadata management.
- Maintain monitor and troubleshoot Purview services to ensure optimal performance and integration with Microsoft Azure.
- Automate processes using scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) to streamline Purview configurations and workflows.
- Support compliance with frameworks such as GDPR CCPA HIPAA and SOX.
- Develop and maintain documentation on technical specifications governance workflows and best practices.
- Provide training and support to data stewards business users and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field.
- 3 years of experience in developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services Azure Data Factory Synapse Analytics SQL DB Blob Storage.
- Strong understanding of Metadata management data lineage cataloguing and compliance principles.
- Experience with ETL pipelines data modelling and data integration.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
- Excellent problemsolving documentation and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft Azure certifications in Data Governance Security or Data Engineering.
- Dutch language proficiency minimum B2 level in Reading Writing and Speaking.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Experience in scripting with PowerShell or Python for automation.
- Experience with hybrid or multicloud environments.
- Working knowledge of data privacy laws: GDPR CCPA HIPAA SOX etc.
