We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Services team. This role involves providing highquality psychiatric care to patients across various age groups and backgrounds. The ideal candidate will lead in diagnosis treatment and management of mental health conditions while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic evidencebased care.
Perform detailed psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
Diagnose and manage mental health conditions including depression anxiety psychosis bipolar disorder and substance use disorders.
Provide psychotherapy and prescribe psychotropic medications as appropriate.
Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
Document patient care accurately in accordance with hospital protocols and ethical standards.
Supervise junior medical staff residents and interns where applicable.
Participate in regular case discussions clinical audits and research activities.
Contribute to mental health advocacy awareness campaigns and community outreach.
Engage in continuing professional development and clinical training programs.
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Fellowship in Psychiatry (e.g. FWACP FMCPsych or equivalent).
Full registration and current license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Minimum of 3 5 years of postfellowship clinical experience in psychiatry.
Demonstrated expertise in diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders.
Strong communication leadership and team collaboration skills.
Uphold ethical and patientcentered clinical practice.
Experience in a private hospital or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
Subspecialization in areas such as child & adolescent psychiatry addiction medicine or forensic psychiatry.
Familiarity with EMR systems.
Training in psychotherapy CBT or other psychological modalities.
