Job Description

Job Title: Tutor Counselling and Applied Psychology
Location: Muttukadu ECR Chennai India
Employment Type: Fulltime Hybrid (Online & OnCampus Teaching)
Department: Counselling and Applied Psychology

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced tutor to deliver the BTEC Level 5 qualification in Counselling and Applied Psychology. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent counselling experience and hold a degree or postgraduate diploma in Counselling and/or Psychology. Prior teaching experience is not mandatory as OntheJob Training (OJT) will be provided. However strong subject knowledge and learner engagement skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons for BTEC Level 5 in Counselling and Applied Psychology (UK Framework).

  • Prepare teaching materials and presentations for both online and facetoface delivery.

  • Develop course content lesson plans and activities tailored to UK vocational education standards.

  • Assess learners work provide constructive feedback and support them in achieving learning outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate records of teaching learner progress and internal verification as per UK awarding body requirements.

  • Participate in standardisation and quality assurance activities.

  • Support learners with academic and pastoral guidance.



Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelors or Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and/or Psychology.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent practical experience in counselling (individual or group settings).

  • Eligible for professional membership with a recognised International / Indian psychology/counselling bodies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong subject knowledge with a learnercentric approach.


Desirable:
  • Experience in training mentoring or teaching.

  • Familiarity with outcomebased education models.

  • Passion for mental health education and student development.

  • Excellent communication skills in spoken / written English.
