Job Description

3 months contract with local authority

We are looking for experienced and highly motivated Youth Justice Officers to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves safeguarding young people managing risk to the community writing reports conducting assessments delivering interventions and working in close partnership with others. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in the Youth Justice system and be willing to work occasional weekends and unsocial hours. The position also offers hybrid work options and will involve a rigorous interview process.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of experience working with children and young people in the Youth Justice system
  • Ability to write PSR Referral Order and Breach reports
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting assessments using Assetplus
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk and risk management
  • Ability to make referrals and deliver highlevel interventions to reduce the risk of further offending and manage risk of harm to individuals and the community

Requirements: Full-time availability for a year Ability to work 36 hours per week Resilient and able to thrive in challenging situations Attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills Comfortable with confrontation and able to deal with difficult situations Availability for out-of-hours meetings and lone working Daily use of a car and a full driving license
