POSITION: FACULTY (EEAS )POSITION SUMMARY
Adapt to new and changing situations and demonstrate a positive attitude. Demonstrate respect for students; understand learning styles and apply understanding to institutionrelated activities; demonstrate integrity and promote diversity and open communications. Fifteen credit hours a semester constitute a standard load. Course assignments may be late afternoon evening Saturday and at branch campuses or satellite centers. Position is subject to all terms and provisions of the Joliet Junior College faculty contract.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
EEAS courses in a variety of subject areas in the fields of electrical and electronics technologies.
closely with other instructors and special programs and services within the college to determine placements curriculum and academic support.
focused course development assessment accreditation and planning activities emphasizing on the current and developing technologies.
in appropriate departmental meetings and recruitment activities; serve on committees.
students with academic advising.
a strong commitment to teaching and learning.
strong understanding and commitment to the community college mission.
at other campus sites as needed.
and modify curriculum as necessary to maintain an articulated and industry specific program of study.
classroom and lab materials as required.
current in the field by attending courses workshops etc.
with high schools colleges and industry representatives.
students in job placement.
other contractual obligations as spelled out in the Joliet Junior College faculty contract.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in electrical or related fields
(3) years of work experience (field experience only academic experience such as a TA or lab assistant does not apply) with industrial automated systems.

to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Engineering
licensure in electrical or control engineering.
(2) years of teaching experience at the collegiate level.
(3) years of experience in programming installing and troubleshooting Rockwell Automation Products and software.
5.A proficient in three or more of the following subjects: motors electromechanical controls A.C. variable frequency drives programmable logic controllers robotics and alternate energy (solar)
building automation control and design experience.
license or a strong knowledge of National Electric Code.
and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
