Pressperson

The Times Union is seeking an experienced offset journeyman pressman to join its AlbanyNY production operation fulltime. If hired you will work with a closeknit team responsible for maintaining and operating a stateoftheart KBA Commander CL press that produces Times Union and numerous commercial print publications in a highquality and costeffective manner seven days a week.

Qualifications:

• 510 years of web offset newspaper or commercial printing experience.
• Able to produce highquality print results on a consistent basis.
• Detailoriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
• Welldeveloped verbal communication skills.
• Fluency with computerized press controls and operator interfaces.
• Technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude for newspaper printing operations including equipment maintenance troubleshooting and repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Hours: Primarily eveningsand weekend eveningsbut hours can vary based on training and production needs.

Pay: This is a union position with an hourly rate of $35.95 per hour.
