This position serves as a senior analyst in the Michigan Childrens Institute (MCI) office responsible for reviewing the most complex adoption consent requests involving 2 or more competing parties and making recommendations regarding granting consent for MCI wards adoptions. The MCI provides statewide foster care and adoption services to children in foster care following termination of parental rights and commitment to DHHS. Services are provided by 83 county offices and approximately 56 contracted private agencies. This position is responsible for a wide range of social work assignments related to reviewing monitoring and supporting this service delivery system. Responsibilities include development and interpretation of existing and proposed laws policies and procedures for MCI wards providing technical support and consultation to local DHHS offices and private child placing agencies responding to inquiries about permanency planning decisions for MCI wards including consultation with attorneys representing MCI wards.

The physical location of this position is Remote Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. 235 S. Grand Ave Suite 514Lansing MI 48909
