Why You Will Love this Job:
The Senior BuyerIT is responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials equipment and services from IT suppliers driving savings and cost avoidances. Helps optimize IT spend globally at a corporate level for all business units. Accountable for key supplier selection decisions within category working closely with the IT team. Prepares RFPs and evaluates supplier proposals to determine the best overall solution based upon total cost of ownership. Responsible for contractual negotiations within category. Relies on extensive industry knowledge experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsible for setting performance objectives and strategy within category.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead strategic sourcing project execution
Strategize and manage the approach to agreement renewals
Crossfunctional RFx development rollout and evaluation; including supplier selection proposal analysis and negotiation
Raise demand management considerations to ensure effective and efficient spending
Identify contractual needs and establish agreements that accommodate
Support (and contribute to) internal stakeholder timelines and budgets
Primary focus is IT Infrastructure Telecomms and IT Hardware sourcing with support to Software sourcing as needed
Approve new supplier requests and requisitions in a timely manner
Advise stakeholders on procurement practices policy and systems usage
Support ongoing contract management ensuring commercial aspects are in the best possible position
Calculate and capture savings and cost avoidances.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Capable of creating prenegotiation strategy targeting a win / win outcome
Experienced in negotiating/managing IT spend.
Ability to negotiate with varying degrees of leverage utilize advanced financial techniques and build market comparable cost analysis.
Skilled in Analysis of cost structures related to marketing products and services

Understanding potential differing needs between Internal & External customers.
Consistently exceed customer expectations by dealing with internal complexities across multiple business units in a manner invisible to customers
Comfortable with prioritizing multiple demands (with the help of stakeholders and based upon understanding of business impacts) and executing tasks with due urgency to ensure business risks are mitigated

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Business Procurement Supply Chain Operations IT or related subject.
Minimum 5 years of professional sourcing experience and 3 years of IT purchasing experience
Experience leading negotiations and contract management with suppliers of all sizes
Experience utilizing P2P supplier management esourcing and contract management systems preferred (Ariba or similar)
