Lead Application Engineer (Thermal)

What youll do
Support all facets of Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) product development and customers field service needs.
Act as the interface between field and lab in capturing and translating customers needs for new applications and products.
Design and administrate internal screening evaluations of developmental and commercialized products optimize material assembly processes and direct interaction with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process related problems.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams globally.
Provide global onsite support at the companys customers as needed.
Travel up to 25% globally covering all the companys consumer electronics manufacturing customers.
Requires approximately 50% of the time working with LabApplication Engineering personnel to bridge customer needs and 50% of the time working directly with the customers on technical support.
Understand customer culture and anticipate their needs when developing new products/processes.
Mentor and guide the global team in both technical and business areas.
Qualifications :
What makes you a good fit
A bachelor/masters degree with 7 years of working experience or a doctors degree with 5 years of working experience in R&D or application engineering field.
Education in engineering or material science discipline is required.
Deep knowledge of TIM products as well as demonstrated customer/application support is highly preferred.
Experience in material handling such as dispensing and printing is a plus.
Understanding and demonstration of testing of thermal products is required.
Knowledge of statistical analysis using MinTab and/or JMP is desirable.
Demonstrated ability in working with a cross functional Sales/Product Development/Marketing team is highly desirable.
