BA is seeking to hire an Interior Designer for our Healthcare Architecture practice that is looking to join a creative and collaborative team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have primary responsibility for project planning development and execution and management of technical documentation. The candidate will be directly responsible for design and translating client requirements from concept to completion and will lead project teams and mentor junior designers.
Responsibilities
- Design healthcare interior projects and participate in all phases of design development.
- Collaborate with new and existing clients.
- Apply knowledge of finish options and proper applications according to project budget.
- Prepare presentations and design drawings.
- Coordinate design teams.
- Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and projectdesign criteria.
- Demonstrate understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts for healthcare facilities with ability to develop design element components.
- Coordinate integration of basic engineering systems into the overall project design.
- Respond to technical implications of design decisions.
- Facilitate firm and project goals of excellence in design execution and sustainability.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience with healthcare projects from strategic planning and conceptual design through construction drawings and construction administration.
- Thorough knowledge of the Interior Architectural practice with an emphasis on programming planning design codes building materials and construction methods of healthcare facilities.
- A working knowledge of structural civil mechanical electrical and plumbing engineering systems for proper project coordination.
- Understanding of current code requirements.
- Must possess a strong design portfolio of works depicting healthcare projects developed.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
- Selfmotivated in meeting deadlines and improving process and deliverables.
- Must possess the ability to coordinate with architecture project consultants and engineers.
- Must have thorough knowledge of building systems ADA compliance requirements and Florida Building Codes.
- Strong competency in interior design specifications calculations and industry standards and application of building codes and specifications.
- Collaborative and professional work ethic.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in architecture or interior design
- Must be a Floridalicensed Interior Designer; LEEDAP certification a plus.
- 10 years of interior design experience with emphasis on healthcare projects
- Advancedlevel competency in Revit 3DMax Rhino Sketchup hand sketching and AutoCAD required.
