Job Description
Bizzell US is seeking a resultsdriven Power BI Developer to design develop and optimize interactive dashboards and reports that support datadriven decisionmaking across the FOH enterprise. The ideal candidate will bring experience building robust BI solutions in Microsoft Power BI with an emphasis on transforming health and operational data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & Report Development
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards paginated reports and data visualizations aligned with FOH key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into wireframes and data visualizations.
Data Modeling & Transformation
- Create and maintain semantic models and calculated measures using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
- Develop robust data transformation pipelines using Power Query (M).
- Ensure optimized data structures and minimize report refresh and query times.
Data Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of reported data through rigorous testing and validation.
- Implement rowlevel security and other data governance practices in Power BI.
Integration & Maintenance
- Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL databases Excel SharePoint and governmentspecific systems.
- Maintain and update existing dashboards in response to evolving business needs and data changes.
Collaboration & Training
- Collaborate with data analysts developers and business stakeholders to enhance data access and decisionmaking.
- Provide training and support to FOH users on Power BI usage and selfservice reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Business Analytics or a related field.
- 3 years of experience designing and delivering Power BI solutions in a professional environment.
- Proficiency with DAX Power Query and Power BI Service (workspaces apps publishing).
- Strong data modeling skills and understanding of relational and dimensional databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL300 or DA100).
- Experience working with federal healthcare programs or agencies (e.g. HHS NIH CDC).
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse Data Factory or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Work Environment
- Hybrid work structure; some onsite presence in Rockville MD may be required.
- Availability during core EST business hours (7 AM 6 PM EST) for collaboration and support.
