Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and administers annual/quarterly Entertainment and Promotions plans to include objectives strategies tactics timing and expenses.
  • Promotional responsibilities include interfacing with senior management to identify promotional opportunities.
  • Works with Planning and Analysis to produce pro forma and post analysis on all promotions.
  • Communicates all promotional activity to the Illinois Gaming Board.
  • Ensures appropriate interdepartmental communication of promotional activity.
  • Oversees the development negotiation and implementation of promotions and entertainment.
  • Serves as a liaison between local and corporate promotions.
  • Oversees departmental operating & capital budget.
  • Oversees daily operations of all FOH Marketing.
  • Helps develop and executes appropriate training programs as it relates to our player card programs.
  • Oversees all staffing and scheduling decisions for the Promotions Events Entertainment and Caesars Rewards departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining utilization goals and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Works closely with Director of Marketing in development of overarching Property Marketing strategy.
  • Directly oversees key customer impact areas of Caesars Rewards.
  • Responsible for the management of Caesars Rewards and driving guest satisfaction.
  • Develops initiatives and processes to continually enhance the guest experience as measured by service scores.
  • Responsible for internal and external Caesars Rewards communications and Promotions/ Special Events.
  • Builds and maintains an excellent relationship with the property operating team and fosters communication and cooperation between Marketing and operations.
  • Adheres to all purchasing guidelines.
  • Extensive attention to detail and follow through.
  • Responds to and resolves customer complaints.
  • Responsible for supervising coaching developing and evaluating staff.
  • Responsible for the hiring training payroll and scheduling for the Caesars Rewards Department.
  • A completed checklist of the physical and mental demands incumbent to this position as well as the working conditions under which these duties are performed is on the reverse or available upon request.
  • Those demands and conditions occurring on a consistent basis are deemed essential to the performance of these essential duties.
  • Oversees / Assists with all Promotions/Special Event execution.
  • Helps to build and review all promotion and special event builds in PKMS.
  • Responsible for communication between departments of Promotions and Special Events.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience in a casino environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Public Relations or Communications preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of two years successful leadership experience as well as a minimum of five years successful experience in Marketing PR or Communications background.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication problem solving leadership and analytical skills required.
  • Strategic problemsolving skills yet comfortable overseeing day to day activities.
  • Must be a proactive change agent.
  • Should have track record of success in both taking risks and making prudent business decisions.
  • Excellent computer skills are required; CMS Microsoft Office and Access will be used.
  • Demonstrated customer service and leadership skills.
  • Must be flexible in schedule to work nights holidays and weekends.
  • Internal candidates must meet Harrahs Joliet transfer eligibility requirements.

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all assigned areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment involving constant internal customer contact.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
  • Position requires 20% standing 60% walking 20% sitting.
  • Requires some climbing.
  • Must be able to respond to speech visual and aural cues.
