Job Description
Gerber Polish/Blast Operator 2nd shift available
Ingersoll Cutting Toolsis one of the worlds leading suppliers of metal cutting tooling systems and an integral member of the IMC Group of Companies a distinguished corporate holding of Berkshire Hathaway with over 130 subsidiaries in 60 countries around the world. Ingersolls US operations are housed on our stateoftheart manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Gerber Polish/Blast Operator.
Essential job duties and Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate Gerber Polish and automated dry blast machine.
- Applying polish surfaces and edge honing as required.
- Conduct complete setups including fixture selection program origination and editing.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings including geometric tolerances.
- Conducts 1st part inspection and process auditing.
- Works to applicable process protocols/procedures.
- Quality assurance and labor reporting via Windows based computer systems.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Work OT and weekends as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience plus.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Work in a clean environment wearing appropriate parts handling equipment. - Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong work ethic and selfmotivated.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work well independently as well as with others in a team environment. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills possess a good work ethic demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits demonstrate safety consciousness and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The Salary range for this position is $17.50$22/hr.
