The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of company and or 3rd party drivers and routing with a focus on scheduling outbound and inbound (backhaul) freight ensuring ontime performance and maintaining compliance with safety and operational policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees daytoday transportation and dispatch operations for employee and/or 3rd party drivers/carriers
- Schedules and assigns routes including outbound deliveries and backhaul opportunities to maximize asset utilization
- Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely freight movement
- Tracks driver performance and provides realtime support to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Assists Transportation Manager with hiring onboarding and training of new drivers
- Conducts regular performance evaluations and ridealongs to support driver development
- Monitors driver hours of service (HOS) and ensures DOT compliance
- Identifies and books costeffective backhaul loads using available tools and broker networks
- Ensures accurate and timely entry of shipment details into TMS or dispatch systems
- Supports equipment scheduling and preventative maintenance coordination
- Promotes and enforces safe operating practices across all transportation functions
- Analyzes transportation costs and KPIs recommending improvements as needed

Qualifications :
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Logistics Supply Chain or Business preferred
- 2 years of experience in transportation dispatch or fleet management
- Prior experience managing employee drivers highly preferred
- Proficient in dispatch software TMS systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational problemsolving and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
