We currently operate six hightech greenhouse farms with three new regional greenhouses opening in 2024. BrightFarms fresh lettuce options from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits are available in more than 4500 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.The Sanitation Lead will assist train and coach team members in the daily cleaning and sanitation of the harvesting and packaging room and any other area assigned in our greenhouse in Lorena TX.
Specifically you will:
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new hires
- Daily cleaning of harvesting and packaging equipment
- Assembling and dissembling specific machinery at the end of the product run
- Perform all duties on the daily weekly and monthly cleaning schedules
- Follow protocols for food safe environment in accordance with sanitation SOPs
- Sweep clean and squeegee floors in greenhouse
- Prepare the production floor for preoperational inspection
- Other duties as assigned
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines complete training as assigned and report food safety problems to your supervisor or other member of management as soon as identified
- Help foster a culture of safety and quality
The ideal candidate:
- Good attendance
- Be able to get the job done with minimal supervision
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Lifting to occasionally 25 pounds
- Be able to work in a cold (37F) or hot (75F) environment throughout the day
Preferred Qualifications
- 13 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
