Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a selfmotivated Environmental Field Technician to support our Chicago IL offices growing environmental project portfolio.This position consists of 100% field work with local travel to and from job sites with some office support. This position requires a hardworking safe efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training working with a team and able to work independently once trained. It will require work both independently and with other team members and may require periodic overtime and periodic nonlocal travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team.
Role accountabilities:
- Groundwater Monitoring Well Sampling
- Environmental Treatment System Water and Air Sampling
- Environmental Treatment System Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
- Soil Sampling
- Remediation Injections
- Community Air Monitoring
- Subcontractor Oversight
- Site Visits and Documentation
Additionally:
- Strong communication and field documentation skills
- Practice Safe Driving and possess a valid drivers License
Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic mechanical and electrical skills
- 2 years of previous experience as an Environmental Field Technician or College Degree
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
- Environmental Remediation experience
- Experience with maintenance repair and troubleshooting of environmental remediation systems
