The research associate will conduct interviews with residents in four cities currently considering municipallevel reparations initiatives: San Francisco St. Paul Detroit and Asheville. These interviews will take place both on site and online making some travel a requirement of this position. After conducting each interview the research associate will be responsible for writing brief memos that summarize themes that emerged from the interviews and maintain an organized database of recordings transcripts and interview memos. The research associate will also be responsible for participating in biweekly team meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
An undergraduate degree in a social science (e.g. political science sociology) is required. A masters degree in a social science preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience conducting interviews is preferred.
