Job Description

We seek a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our Reliability Lab team where teamwork and safety are at the forefront of our operations. As a key contributor you will play an essential role in aligning with team goals and objectives while prioritizing safety in all lab test development and execution. Your willingness to learn and collaborate with the reliability department will foster a strong team environment supporting essential EH&S and 5S housekeeping responsibilities. You will be instrumental in performing equipment maintenance enhancing product reliability and quality and mentoring junior technicians in laboratory procedures. By participating in continuous improvement initiatives you will help drive efficiencies in testing processes ultimately contributing to our commitment to excellence in reliability development and sustainment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Contribute in a positive manner that aligns with team goals and objectives.
Keep Safety as a priority in all lab test development and execution.
Work in a strong team environment with willingness to learn and collaborate with reliability department team members.
Support reliability department EH&S and 5S housekeeping responsibilities.
Perform equipment maintenance and continuous development of the Reliability Lab.
Drive an increase in product reliability and quality leading towards improvement in warranty.
Support the training and mentoring of junior technicians in laboratory procedures and best practices.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and lab efficiency.
Execute Lab Testing


Perform test setup component assembly and systemlevel testing and reporting of test results for the Reliability Labs as requested by the Lab Supervisor and Reliability management.
Apply scientific methodology and analytical skills to test product function and performance with high work standards.
Support coworkers in test setup and execution to ensure strong test performance within planned lab schedules.
Provide timely feedback to test stakeholders and lab management when questions and concerns arise during all phases of test development and execution.
Provide input and feedback for lab process and test improvement.
Contribute to Reliability Development and Sustainment


Participate in and support development of test methods and sustainment.
Utilize best practices and application of design for reliability methods for test automation and repeatability.
Learn and apply Vontier Business System (VBS) tools to provide overall department growth and continuous improvement. Key tools include Daily management 5S and VSM.
Support department EH&S and ensure adherence to environmental health and safety policies protocols and regulatory compliance in conformance with ISOand 14001.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
WHO YOU ARE

Associate degree or equivalent experience with a strong technical background in product testing development and a lab environment.
35 years related experience preferred with test setup test fixture design and construction testing and data reporting methodologies.
Experience with industrial products and testing.
Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
Good handson skills with mechanical/electrical aptitude.
Ability to write lab test reports and document lab test procedures.
Ability to program PLCs NI LabView and other DAQ devices is preferred.
Ability to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments.
Good independent writing skills using Word and Excel with the ability to author a multipage report.
Ability to engage and work well with others.
Integrity and a willingness to do what it takes attitude.
Punctual professional appearance and demeanor.
Drive to achieve and complete assignments promptly.
Meticulous with good organizational skills.
